Inane to have to type who is or what is - yeah, yeah, I know that's what Jeopardy is about, but still it's dumb for Sporcle.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:33 GMT
"Who are" should work for super bowl III winners
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:34 GMT
It wouldn't be Jeopardy if you didn't have to type that in. Then, it would be just trivia. Do you think I should make it so people can type in just the actual answer, so they don't have to type in 'what is' or 'who is'? I gave more time considering that that had to be typed in before each answer. Should I do that and then lower the time a minute?
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:34 GMT
i didn't really like this quiz that much... until i got to "Neil Peart is the drummer for this band." You get a higher rating simply for that inclusion.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:35 GMT
lalalala- Thanks for the feedback. I just added that.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:43 GMT
who are malone should work .. just nebraska should work too
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:48 GMT
just for the record, Malkin won the MVP of the playoffs, not of the finals. The Conn-Smythe goes for the whole postseason
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:54 GMT
fatbeard- you are right. i changed it
Oct 9th, 2009 at 04:57 GMT
Okay everyone...I changed it so that you only have to type in the actual answer ('what is' or 'who is' is not necessary anymore, although you still can type it if you choose to). Let me know if I should change it back to keep the real Jeopardy authenticity. Thanks

@GAJM, love the quiz idea and i think it's executed really well. and thanks for fixing the malkin thing so quickly. I like it more where you don't have to type in "who/what is/are" for each question. my only complaints are that now, when I type in "C" trying to guess Cobain (which, evidently, isn't accepted without Kurt), it gives me that for the dictionary question. Although, in all fairness, I probably would have gotten it anyway.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 12:15 GMT
I think "who was Kurt Cobain" should be accepted as well.

I don't like this game at all. Sports is only about American sports (and stuff that's not even remotely close to being general knowledge, too), so is Geography. And the SNL category is completely retarded (what the heck?) ...
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:05 GMT
Had no idea on almost all the geography questions, sports too, they were mostly american things I don't have an interest in :( Got most of music though :) Never heard of jeopardy before either - why do you have to say 'what/who is' and stuff?
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:09 GMT
pdu- I don't know about you, but I live in America, so I have American questions. It's jeopardy so it's not supposed to be general knowledge. Usually they're tough questions. Looking at the results, no one else is having a problem except you. And get a sense of humor...the SNL category is supposed to be funny. I took the questions directly from SNL Jeopardy. You just have bad taste...and think before you post.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:10 GMT
I LOVE THIS IDEA. This needs to happen for every category ever.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:18 GMT
In the fourth column, I keep typing "ketchup." Nothing happens.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:20 GMT
curses- you do not have to say 'what is' or 'who is' for my quiz. i figured it was a pain to have to do that. but i'm surprised you have not heard of jeopardy. it is probably the most popular game show there is. look it up. and you'll see that saying what is and who is, is just part of the game.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:24 GMT
On jeopardy last names are generally acceptable. So Cobain should work.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:26 GMT
pbysr- You are right. Thanks for the feedback. I will fix that now.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:38 GMT
I can see "who is kurt cobain" not working, but "who was kurt cobain" just has got to work. Also, I think the car question is unclear whether it asks for a make or a model.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:40 GMT
eurythmech- Thanks for the feedback. I fixed both.
Oct 9th, 2009 at 16:59 GMT
I got most of them, the Celebrity jeopardy questions all stumped me though.

i typed in "suck it, trebek" and to my dismay got nothing.

Oct 10th, 2009 at 04:33 GMT
Liked it a lot, but wow I hate the color scheme. Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't a fan. Loved the SNL category, hahaha
Oct 10th, 2009 at 04:44 GMT
It would be awesome if you would put the celebrity answers for Celebrity Jeopardy (five, South Hampshire, R, onions, and Dolly Parton).

Why isn't Cartman or Eric Cartman acceptable for South Park? Why isn't "Nebraska" acceptable for bowl games? And why oh why is Linkin Park in your quiz? There's just no excuse for that one.
Oct 11th, 2009 at 03:54 GMT
Remmycool- Dude, read the question. It says first name. Cartman is his last name. Nebraska is acceptable.
Oct 11th, 2009 at 17:05 GMT
Please accept vatican for vatican city. That's pretty standard on sporcle, and I figured it wasn't right after I tried it.
Oct 11th, 2009 at 18:39 GMT
how come it wont accept "onions" for the mustard seed question?
Oct 12th, 2009 at 05:06 GMT
thank you, I love you man (the movie) for getting me Neil Peart. What a movie.
Oct 13th, 2009 at 19:45 GMT
How in the name of silverback gorillas are all the SNL answers not 100%? Or at the very LEAST, shouldn't everybody get "Type the number 10"?
Oct 14th, 2009 at 03:58 GMT
I think it should take just CRATER for Crater Lake. I got that in but before I realized it did not take the answer time ran out on me.
Oct 15th, 2009 at 02:39 GMT
Chumley- The name of it is Crater Lake. I'm sorry time ran out, but that's part of the game. I'm pretty sure I give plenty of time.
