good quiz (i like all the silver slugger quizzes). This one is organized different. There aren't separate columns for AL/NL. No big deal i guess....pissed I missed Estrada and Tettleton

Good idea, but I suggest you group AL together and then NL together - would seem a little more organized.

It makes a certain amount of sense that this would be the easiest of the silver slugger quizzes. There are so few good hitting catchers that they tend to be more likely to win it in multiple years so there are fewer different winners.

@nwaldrip: With 60 players, Sporcle would organize them into 2 columns which worked great. But because this one has 61 players, Sporcle has organized this quiz into 3 columns. I don't care for the look either. I tried but I couldn't make it look any better.

Nice one. Amazing how few people remember Ted Simmons, one of the most underrated players of his era.

unbelieveable that the dominant offensive catcher in bb last 6 years is the least guessed!??? Who is playing, the "rugby" crowd?

Hi, i was born in 1996. and i am a huge baseball fan and i have studied the game during every period. i got 59 of these answers correct, but I had NO IDEA that craig biggio was a catcher at any point during his career. How long did he play there? am i the only one that is shocked that he wasnt a 2b his entire career?

@mrmanheim- it's only McCann's most recent awards that have a lower percentage, because they were added after the quiz had been played several times.

And the lowest guessed is actually Alex Avila

GoCubs: Not only was Biggio a catcher when he first started playing (4 years), he was an outfielder for the 2003-4 seasons. On another note, the Tigers sure knew their catchers in the 80s and early 90s.
