Further proof that Raul Ibanez is a bona fide first ballot Hall of Famer

@Blaise Please tell me there was a little bit of sarcasm in that statement.

I don't think anybody really thinks that Raul Ibanez is a first ballot hall of famer.

MLB recognizes C as having 4,191 hits, even if baseball-reference takes the low estimate.

Technically, Ichiro is the surname of Ichiro Suzuki, so he should be the anwser. Or at least, a correct response.

Haha... yea the day someone gets into the Hall of Fame b/c they have the most hits among all players with a last name starting with "I". Someone get Todd Zeile in there too!

@dethwing: Actually Ichiro's surname is Suzuki. He used Ichiro on his uniform instead of Suzuki because Suzuki is the second most common surname in Japan. It was done to distinguish Ichiro, who was a rising star in Japan at the time.

I stand corrected. I always thought that since it was the reverse order, Ichiro was his surname. I hadn't realized it was already switched to "americanize" it. Thanks.

Great quiz. One of these times, I'll remember Todd Zeile.

I never would have guessed that a guy who hit .248 for his career would be the all time leaders in hits among the N's. Great player though.
