All the rankings are the most recent released by their respective International Federations. In Cricket's case, Test rankings are used, and Zimbabwe the tenth nation due to their one day international score.

Great Quiz. Perhaps accept any of the West Indies Nations for them, as West Indies is not a country in itself (different than the UK and the home countries). Taiwan too.

How can England be ranked that high in football? When is the last time they won anything of consequence?

@MoneyGrip - more recently than Chile, Uruguay, or Holland.

@bsd987 - Uruguay won Copa America in 1967, 1983, 1987 and 1995. Netherlands won the European Championship in 1988. Both more recent successes than England's one major trophy. None of that has any relevance to the world ranking though.

Uruguay finished fourth in the last World Cup. Netherlands were the runner-up. In my book that means they're pretty good. Chile's not more accomplished, but I'm not sure I wouldn't take Chile against England on a neutral field.

Russia sure as hell isn't number 1 at hockey. It's Canada, Russia, USA, Finland in that order.

@Lawzorcle: This was in 2010. Egypt had won the Africa Cup that year.

It should accept "United Kingdom" for "England". During the quiz, I was surprised that nothing came up.
