	@Devil5231, it may be limited, however, it fails to show how early they've been eliminated for the tournament even though they've always been ranked extremely high throughout these seasons. VCU, HAHAHA

	Actually, I think this reflects well on Duke. With the exception of VCU, all of the teams they have lost to in the Tournaments have been good teams. If you take out this current year (too few games/losses), it's an average of 6 losses, even considering their 06-07 season. That's still respectable in my book.

	Yes RC Cola, very, very respectable, but not amazingly great, like Dukies think they are. I'd like to see how many losses were to seed/teams that were lower than them.

	Personally it's because my mom grew up in Chapel Hill and practically everyone in her family went to UNC. I'm named after James Taylor for heaven's sake. Also, there's the matter of Duke being associated with douchiness; that's not just my opinion, look at the GQ poll of douchiest colleges. It's number 2, and their rationale is that they wanted it to be #1 but didn't want them to be #1 at anything. Their words, not mine. For me, the whole of its basketball program is summarized by Laettner Stomp. Granted, I've got nothing against Grant Hill. Beyond that, yeah, not my cup of tea. Richard Nixon went to Duke for law school, you know.

	I think Duke hatred stems to a large extent from the way the national media slobbers all over them and constantly talks about how awesome Coach K is and so forth. Dicky V and all that. Coach K is also incredibly irritating. In addition, I think any team that gets a large number of fans who have no connection said team is also bound to attract a large number of haters, and there's tons of inexplicable Duke fans who didn't go to Duke. UNC is annoying too, though - in spite of being the most stories program in college basketball, they've somehow used Duke's odiousness to convince themselves that they're an underdog, which is ridiculous.

	The only thing that I learned from this quiz is that Duke gets eliminated by a Big East team (or VCU) almost every tourney this decade. Piling up wins on the ACC is one thing, but once you have to play a real conference... (quickest comment to get voted off the page?)

	@johnlk, I can say as a lifelong Raleigh resident that Duke actually has relatively few fans with no connection to the school. Pretty much everyone around here is either a UNC or NC State fan unless they either went to Duke or had family members that did. Which is really what you'd expect from a private institution. Hell, even congress has passed resolutions in NC that contained jovial stabs at Duke basketball. Local politicians take stabs at Duke in stump speeches to get votes around here. You make a good point about media attention though; any team covered so heavily on ESPN is guaranteed to get a good amount of fans from all over the country, as well as a good amount of haters. And for the record, even as a Duke fan, I think Dickie V is annoying as hell and have no idea why he still has a job. Plus, to be fair, he loves Carolina almost as much as he loves Duke.

	Yeah, I definitely agree that my hatred of Dick Vitale isn't from his love of Duke, but his godawful voice and his signs of obvious favoritism towards any team (I've seen him do it for Duke and UNC most prominently, but I feel like commentators shouldn't be peddling favorites for any team regardless of whether it's my own.)

	I'm not gonna make a "Teams UNC lost to" quiz to show this, but here are some facts of this decade, including the beginning of this season: TOTAL LOSSES: UNC 81, Duke 56 TOTAL TEAMS BEATEN BY: UNC 30, Duke 27 HEAD-TO-HEAD: Duke 12, UNC 9 ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS: Duke 6, UNC 2 FINAL FOURS: UNC 3, Duke 2 CHAMPIONSHIPS: UNC 2, Duke 1 I know on Tobacco Road we measure things with championships, but these numbers, overall, are pretty definitely in Duke's favor. It's easy for Carolina fans right now to feel like they have a huge edge, just like it was easy for Duke to feel the same way in the early years of the decade. The fact is, if you take stats from 2000-2001 through the current season, Duke has clearly had the better overall decade. As for Duke's recent tournament woes? Duke never played in an NIT this decade. UNC played in an NIT, and 2001-2002 didn't even make it that far. As for people laughing about VCU beating Duke... how about Hampton in 2001, Iona in 2002, Santa Clara in 2004... everyone gets bad losses, it's stupid to count them when debating better team of the decade.

	UNC was still coming off of Smith's retirement in the early part of the decade, and we not only held fairly steady (we could've pulled a Kentucky) but we still have more championships. I'm not trying to say that Duke has a bad team, because I'm not an idiot, I'm just saying it could've been a heck of a lot worse for us and I expect Duke will have a similar time adjusting to the eventual loss of Coach K. Will I still taunt them for it? Oh hells yes. But at least Duke has a decent excuse in my book for when that glorious day comes, even if K can't dream of comparing to the godliness that is Dean Smith.

	Jay hank-- Coach K can't compare to smith well let's compare Wins: Coach K 900 Smith 879 ACC Championship: Coach K 13 Smith 13 Final Fours: Coach K 11 Smith 11 But the most important of all NCAA Championship: Coach K 4 Smith 2 Not a genus but I thank that is TWICE AS MANY Not to say smith wasn't a great coach but I think Coach K is better
