Too vague really. There are parts of many cities which are UNESCO heritage sites - how do you distinguish those which make the cut. Why Paris and not Lyon? Why not Edinburgh or Bath in the UK?

This list goes by population, which is why cities like Venice, Florence and Edinburgh are not included.

To clarify, the reason I did it by population is because then there would be over a 100 different cities.

I don't see what's wrong with a list of 100 or so. As it stands now I need to think not only about the heritage stuff, but also about population, which is irksome.

Only the Acropolis of Athens is a WHS. Not the city itself. I was more surprised at the lack of Munich and Barcelona.
