In case anyone is wondering, the numbers on the side are from the Ibrahim index, which ranks the countries of Africa based on several different criteria.

Both "Most stable" and "Less stable" criteria is put under the title: "Most Stable African Countries". Perhaps "Stability in Africa" can be a better choice for a test title.

Maybe you should cut the time, I actually had time to guess almost every country in Africa. And yes, "Stability in Africa" is a better name for the quiz, and maybe the question should be: "Can you name the most (and least) stable African countries?"

I know you have a source, but I have a hard time believing that the DRC, Chad, Zimbabwe and Somalia are more stable than Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

@Wade: they're not. I didn't realize until after I took it that the right column is the LEAST stable countries. The title is a bit misleading.

Interesting, Ghana's doing well since all the others are in the far south, far north or islands. Least stable entirely unsurprising, perhaps aside from EG

I'm really surprised Niger is not on the least stable list. There was a coup earlier this year and the president was ousted (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8526072.stm), and they ranked last in the Human Development Index score out of 182 countries last year (http://hdr.undp.org/en/media/HDR_2009_EN_Complete.pdf).

Surprised Libera isn't there in the least stable list.

The list is 2008, so that predates the Lansana Conte affair in Guinea

This list is accurate but but does not take into account as many factors as the Fund for Peace failed states index. Word to creator, check that list instead.

Tunisia being on the "most stable" list just goes to show how quickly things can change.

I'm guessing Libya's rank has changed too.
