| @gqb: I agree. I understand that to be called "Latin American" the official or most spoken language must be one derived from Latin (Spanish, Portuguese or French). Haiti is correct, as the language is French or some dialect of it. But countries where English (Jamaica, Belize, Guyana) or Dutch (Suriname) are spoken shouldn't be included. Although it has lots of words of Latin origin, English is still a Germanic language. |
