Gettysburg is misspelled. Fun quiz, a great reminder of how much I don't know.

Good game, but Actium was in the Second Roman Civil War - Between Antony and Augustus, not in the Roman civil war, between Caesar and Pompey

Perhaps I should comment on the ommission of the Seven Years War but I won't. Instead I'll give it five globes for a good idea. But Wolfe at Quebec or Hawke at Quiberon Bay.....where are you?
Jul 28th, 2012 at 15:36 GMT
@Cortez: I initially dismissed Quebec as there were numerous battles there, but I'll happily add Quiberon Bay.

Hi Flick, I'm the new curator of the war section and I've made this a curator pick. But I do have one minor point of contention. There were also 2 Battles of Lexington during the American Civil War. Since the one during the Revolution is more frequently called the Battles of Lexington & Concord, I'd recommend changing the name to reflect that, or picking something unique like Cowpens or Guilford Court House.

@Scuba_Steve: thanx for the CP. I've changed Lexington to Guilford Court House and congrats on the Curatorship :)

There are more battles in the Seven Years war fought in Europe, perhaps have them if Quiberon Bay is too obscure. Or have both and change Quiberon Bay to French and Indian Wars, which was the North American theatre.

Nice quiz, good range of easy and tricky ones (for me) - many thanks!
