Pretty good quiz! Two things that might help: 1) Make the Combo 5 header the following: Four "Big Cats". The way it is now makes it sound like you're asking for cat nicknames from the Big Four sports or something, rather than Big Cats. 2) Maybe be consistent with the headers in terms of including "Four." Some have it and some don't. Otherwise, 5 stars!

giveupyet I have acted on your first suggestion for clarity, but have decided to keep the headers the same for aesthetics reasons. I have also reduced the safe-timer to 4 minutes as... 'The same ain't safe' !

I ran into trouble in the end. I was trying to use the original four horsemen as opposed to the popular culture interpretation. Conquest, Death, Famine and War. I also lost time typing cheetah.

It says Cats that Roar for Combination 5. Don't cheetahs, cougars, pumas, and panthers roar as well along with the ones you gave for your answers???

^^ No! Only four cats have the physical structure of the throat needed for making the deep, loud, and resonant sound of a roar. I changed the clue because I was unhappy with the 'big four' wording. Plus it's kinda interesting.

Another interpretation of the four horsemen is as the angels Gabriel, Michael, Raphael and Uriah.

@mrpotwtf69 also it is interesting to note that cougars, pumas, and panthers are all different names for the same animal. The "cougar" has over 50 commonly used names.

Given that there are various interpretations of the names of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and that the Bible does not give them all names, perhaps that category should be replaced with one with more concrete answers.

Thanx for the feedback regarding the last question, and to prevent any further confusion the horsemen have now ridden off into the sunset ! I hope the new category is an adequate replacemant.

"Cats that roar" is too obscure compared to the other categories. Consider putting it last if you must have it? GREAT quiz concept!

There are more than 4 Cats that Roar: Jaguar, Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion/Cougar, Panther, Tiger

@Timberwolf, although it's not my usual style to end on a 'controversial' question in these quizzes ;) I think that's a great idea. Thanx

You should specify if it's beatles's first or last names.

Well technically two of those Flintstones aren't, they're Rubbles. But don't worry, we all know what you mean: good quiz and many thanks for acknowledging that there are 4 countries in the UK, contrary to Sporcle policy.

Oops! For the UK question, the last country isn't listed; it just gives you the next combo. When I saw the cats question, my thought process was along the lines of: "Lion! Not lion? What cat has a name before lion? Cougar? But that has other names. Lemme try lion again... okay, how about lioness? Okay, jaguar... good! Now lion! No??" Then I started getting them right. The end.

Got to the the ducks and ran out of time. :( I'm pretty proud of myself for remembering which presidents are on Rushmore when I've never been or really never learned about it.

Just a small mistake (I think it's a mistake): When you enter the fourth country of the United Kingdom, it doesn't show up, it just says "(Type in DD3)" it should read "[name of country] (Type in DD3)"
