Wow, I never thought I'd ever wish Senator Kyl to run for president, but for the sake of sporcle's favorite country… maybe some day…

You never specified if it was last names or first names you were looking for, so I tried Grover Cleveland, Grenada, etc. Maybe you could make first names acceptable as well, or clarify in the game note?

@oldkent: I unfortunately cannot accept first names because of a lack of space on the rows, I will add a game note

Very nice! I was a second away from getting the last one, so time felt about perfect to me. I do think it might make sense to force people to always enter the president first -- if you need to put a note in about it at all, it seems more intuitive to make it general than to make it specific to the one you ran out of space for...

@RichN95: now added @er1705: it's actually spelt Liechtenstein, thanx both. @ micah: I've decided to make 'Ma' the example in the game notes @Hejman thanx for the pick.

For B, "Burma" might be a nice alternate answer.

Great quiz, good timing. But it didn't accept "van buren vanuatu," although it took "vanuatu van buren."

Tough quiz, very enjoyable though. Classic case of Sporcle-itis in that I played three time before finally getting the "Li" one.

This would have been easier had so many mid-century presidents not been apparently blocked out by failed candidates for POTUS/VPOTUS. Couldn't think of Kennedy, but I sure could think of Kerry. Couldn't think of Lincoln, but Lieberman? Why not. (And as Lighthouse said in the archived comments, I seem to also recall Nickel having resigned amid quite the scandal in the 70s.)

Did you try to use the two-letter chemical symbols to throw people off? Because it definitely worked. Couldn't get "molybdenum" and "lithium" out of my head. >_

@sigmorpho: the reason Madison and any Ma- country (Malaysia, Malawi etc.) doesn't work is that Madison and Malta is used as the example in the notes to the quiz.
