	As far as I know, shima means 'island' in Japanese, so it should be either Okinotorishima or Okinotori Island. Okino Torishima Island is like saying Rio Grande River. (I've always wondered why some Japanese cities like Hiroshima or Fukushima contain 'island' in their names. After all, everything in Japan is on an island).

	@Everava: there are some place names in other European countries that also look like a random keysmash of letters. Think of Bydgoszcz (Poland) or some Czech names formed by consonants without any vowel. What really makes Eyjafjarðarsýsla an Icelandic word is the letter eth (ð).

	If my version of Google Earth is to be believed, Cape Columbia is under water. That would make Ward Hunt Island the most northerly location in the country. Although the distance between the two points (north/south distance) is less than the length of Liechtenstein so the point might just be slightly misplaced.

	Yes, if you're going to list Palmyra Atoll as the southernmost point in the United States, then you should at least include the South Sandwich Islands in the United Kingdom... And if you're going to list a territory/possession like Palmyra Atoll, then the real southermost point of land in the United States is in American Samoa (unless of course, you want to count the Amundsen-Scott Station at the South Pole!)
