	Good use of format, but one downside is you can't ever see the answers you missed. I was pretty sure Antony had more lines than Cleopatra (when you count all plays), so I started googling and there seems to be some variability in how lines are determined. ---- All of which is a long-winded way of saying: Source?

	Many editions of Richard III refer to the title character simply as "Gloucester" for the first three acts, (see http://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/1103/pg1103.html or http://shakespeare.mit.edu/richardiii/full.html ), and in those acts alone he has more than 150 lines under that name. Maybe Gloucester should light up Richard III instead of setting off a mine due to the (completely separate) Earl of Gloucester from King Lear?

	Speaking of Twelfth Night, could "Toby" and "Sir Toby" be accepted for Sir Toby Belch? There are no other Shakespeare characters named Toby. Same with "Antony" for Mark Antony - there are no other Antonys in Shakespeare, and even the source refers to him as just "Antony."

	@Fidelio: THANK YOU! Even after the source got added, I couldn't get Antony to come up, and the whole thing just confused me. Never once thought of including Mark. Sigh.

	Great job, Flick. The only thing is that your source and the other major source for line counts (http://www.shakespearelinecount.com/shakespeare-characters-line-count) have a completely different definition of what constitutes a "line count". I think OpenSource counts the number of times a character speaks (and doesn't restrict characters to individual plays-leading to confusions like the Gloucester/Richard thing) whereas the other site goes through and actually counts the number of individual lines of text that each character speaks in each play. It turns out that this makes a big difference--for example, in this quiz you have Othello above Iago, but Iago actually talks a lot more than Othello in that play (1098 individual lines vs. 887 for the Moor). It looks like the published counterpart uses the same site you do, so it's probably fine, you just might want to clarify in the game note or something. But anyway, fun (and very tough) quiz!

	The basic list is really problematic. Note that it lists Richard III for 3 Henry VIand Richard III, but then also Gloucester for Henry V, 1 Henry VI, 2 Henry Vi, and Richard III. Thus it seems to be crediting Richard III's early lines in "Richard III" to Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester, a completely different character. Also, the idea that it should be "number of times they speak" rather than "number of lines" seems lame to me.

	When people say lines with regard to Shakespeare, they generally mean lines of text, not number of times speaking. I did not notice this, and got only 5 because I typed Macbeth.

	@druhutch,Retracto and tulliuscicero: OK we've gone by number of line. The changes have taken an age to work out, so please be gentle when you find a Comedy of Errors. I just hope All's Well That Ends Well.

	Unlike some others I think that this is not a good format for this quiz. Why? - because there are many different versions of some of the plays which could result in different counts. While the source is good enough to cite which version it is using, it still leaves too much to dispute. I think that minefield quizzes work best when the data is essentially indisputable, either because it uses a single truly authoritative source (like the US census for state populations) or long-accepted sporcle convention (what qualifies as a a country). That said, the basic subject matter is great.
