| Yup, MisterF, very true. On the other hand I'm very surprised about Laos, since they are still severely affected by unexploded ordnance, e.g. from clusterbombs, which in effect is the same thing as landmines.
There's quite a few countries that boggle my mind. But to say, overall, this is a great quiz, since it directs attention to a huge issue. Cambodia e.g. still has around 6 million landmines around, and each month an average of 60 of those injure or kill people. This is more than 30 years after the Khmer Rouge regime ended. |
