Sapranos?! I found it really distracting with the 'The' names all together.
Jan 7th, 2013 at 06:35 GMT
You might want to take another editing pass through this-- I noticed a couple of weird things like "Lenonard" for Leonard in the TBBT question and a number of stray commas. It's a cool idea, though; you might want to clarify that this is from the description of a single episode (I think? Some are pretty generic) rather than a summary of the show overall.

This is a minor point and it doesn't affect the answer, but I think Fonzie's former girlfriend that showed up was Leather Tuscadero. Pinky was her kid sister and I think she may have gone on a date with Richie Cunningham.
Jan 7th, 2013 at 16:45 GMT
The 'Thes' have been seperated, Leonard corrected and question tightened. The commas and Pinky remain as they're courtesy of IMDb.

My memory of Happy Days is poor. I looked it up and you are correct. Not only that, but the date Leather went on was with Ralph Malph. Man, did she draw the short end.

Thanks for putting the The's in parenthesis; wish more quizzes were that way.

I was pleasantly shocked when I saw the phrase "Mara breaks her collarbone and accidentally shoots and kills an innocent person". The show in question doesn't appear enough on Sprocle.

Great great episode choice for HIMYM
Jan 17th, 2013 at 15:24 GMT
The X-Files clue could describe pretty much every episode of the series.

Is there a link? It sounds like IMDB ranked the top 100 television episodes of all time, but it's not entirely clear.

I feel like you could replace most of the clues with "blah blah blah Character Name blah blah" and it would be basically the same quiz.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 04:39 GMT
I thought I had done reasonably well getting half the answers correct. Oh how incredibly wrong I was
Feb 28th, 2013 at 04:40 GMT
Is the least guessed answer really from the Simpsons?
Feb 28th, 2013 at 04:49 GMT
Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky. That clue for STTNG could've just as easily been for TOS. (Sometimes it DOES pay to skip some clues and come back to them later.)

What was that one TV show where the guy made a promise to be at one event, but had an obligation to be at another, then spends the episode trying to jump back and forth between the two events without anybody knowing?
Feb 28th, 2013 at 06:17 GMT
You did [character name] for Batman, could you do the same for Ellen?
Feb 28th, 2013 at 06:18 GMT
thought 34 was good......you guys watch a lot of tv
Feb 28th, 2013 at 08:01 GMT
That could be a description for almost any X-Files episode.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 08:28 GMT
Might want to do [character name] for MTM.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 09:18 GMT
Saw "Oscar and Felix", thought of the Proud Family. Couldn't even try to think of anything else. Damn, I miss the old Disney Channel..
Feb 28th, 2013 at 11:53 GMT
32 correct doesn't even earn 50% ?!?!.. You all watch way too much TV!
Feb 28th, 2013 at 12:29 GMT
@jaspers Boy Meets World; Topanga's 16th birthday and Frankie's father's wrestling match. The only example that matters.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 12:51 GMT
Wow, surprised that Mad Men and The Honeymooners were in the bottom half - Sterling Cooper's kind of a dead giveaway and when has Ralph not come home with some half-baked scheme???
Feb 28th, 2013 at 13:32 GMT
Oh, "Chef of the Future," can it core a apple? I LOVED that Honeymooners episode. Great choice!
Feb 28th, 2013 at 14:00 GMT
gabbo. . .gabbo!. . .GABBO!!
Feb 28th, 2013 at 14:22 GMT
I agree--blah blah character name blah blah...

Apparently Mary Tyler Moore didn't fend off a tiger with a utility belt... but it sure would be worth watching...
Feb 28th, 2013 at 16:10 GMT
I wonder how many of this site's users are too young to remember the short-lived Gabbo craze of '93.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 16:19 GMT
@atomic_sunshine: Mad men might be so low because the name Sterling Cooper just looks like S. Cooper to people who like "The Big Bang Theory". At least that's why I got it wrong.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 17:55 GMT
If The Simpsons is the least guessed, then clearly you picked the wrong clue for The Simpsons.
Feb 28th, 2013 at 18:12 GMT
CLASSIC Cosby. Poor LaMont.

MAJOR props using Time Enough at Last for The Twilight Zone.

@geoneb: That's from the Mary Tyler Moore Show? Huh, I thought it was just something Space Ghost made up. Why did Moltar say it was "no good" during Space Ghost and Zorak's quote-off? He was cheated.

Is it just me, or is the clue for the West Wing incomplete? It doesn't look like a complete sentence to me.
Mar 3rd, 2013 at 19:55 GMT
That one for Dallas could be just about any episode from the entire series (new or old).
Mar 4th, 2013 at 00:41 GMT
Got all but 2. This will get me downvoted into oblivion, but you folks need to watch more Mary Tyler Moore and less Big Bang Theory. That MTM episode was funny as hell, but it came in 3rd to last in this quiz. :-
