I think five, globes & quiz will be the most common words associated with this :)

"How" is more common than "know", using your source. Great idea for a quiz, though.

Unbelievable. I went through by, my, may, any, why, say, buy, boy, sky, twenty...it's a miracle I gave up on Y before I found myself typing "foxy" or "neurobiology".

This is deceptively difficult - and I NEVER would have guessed "Verb"!

Cavaliergirl: Same here. All I could come up with was "rub" and "dumb". I'm trying not to take it personally.

'that' should be the word for T since it's higher than 'it'

"B" was one of three that got me. I really thought "job" would be it, even in written usage. But I got a nice intro to oxforddictionaries.com, so thanks.

"music" ! Great. I guessed "aspic" (why?), "colic" (really?) and "manic" (ok...). A good example of an overcomplicating brain...

Yes, the most common word ending in x, as it appears printed, is "six", but surely the word ending in x that people most frequently *think of* isn't "six" but one that curiously means "six", but in Latin.

Let's be honest, nobody guessed "six" for the first "x" word
