Joel Chandler Harris should be added as an alternative for Enid Blyton. Do a search on Brer Rabbit.

@caramba: Interestingly it was Robert Roosevelt (Theodore Roosevelt's uncle), who first penned the Brer Rabbit stories which were afterwards published in "Harper's Weekly". It was several years later that Joel Chandler Harris wrote his version of the Brer Rabbit stories, and Enid Blyton even later. The original stories pre-dated all these writers though and probably had their roots in traditional African folklore. Thanx for the pick.

Instead of arguing over Joel Chandler Harris, Enid Blyton & Robert Roosevelt, why not just make it "John Updike books"?

@rockgolf: thanx for the suggestion.

Hawkeye for Hawk......just not very good. A Hawkeye is not an animal, so of course why would anyone type that?

@burywmore: well, gee, a Blackhawk is not an animal either... so what is your point?

I found it much easier to get the answers from the right-hand column. Maybe I'm not watching enough movies!

I'm pleasantly surprised that no one's complained about 'Papillon'. Wonderful film by the way. Very fun quiz.

@Riko What would be the "Papillon" complaint? If it's about language there is a quizmaker's note that not all the subjects are in English. BTW, brilliant quiz. Could have used a couple more minutes.

Black Snake Moan also is a movie with Samuel L. Jackson in that same year. it doesn't effect the answer but it could be included as well

I thought the Jane Fonda movie was "Cat Ballou" and the Bruce Willis movie "Hudson Hawk". Hey, it might have worked in an alternate universe!
