"Tintin" is one word - good quiz otherwise.

Jiminy Cricket is NOT in the book Pinocchio. There is a talking cricket mentioned in two scenes, but it is not given a name and is not a major character. The Jiminy Cricket character is basically a Disney construct.

@dollymix: fixed @Chocolatl: I've changed Jiminy to 'The Talking Cricket' although he is not a major character it should still be get-able I think.

Gee, thanks, Chocolatl. I woulda got Jiminy Cricket :/

I liked the Odyssey question. :) Didn't really expect that bit of trivia would ever be worth much!

You're inconsistent when it comes to series--Tintin has an ellipsis, Harry Potter does not, and I wasted time looking for "The Story of Doctor Dolittle" (the ellipses would be hard on that one, as most of the books are "Doctor Dolittle..." but a few, including the first, are "...Doctor Dolittle.") But fun quiz--thanks!

@jobiska: a valid point, I've tried to make it more consistent, thanx

I ended up skipping Snowy and then realized that I had skipped it, and then when I tried to get it to come around again, it never did.

The ones that I started with: Bullseye, Shere Khan, and Pongo. I was thinking this is about Disney films for a second.
A great contribution to your # _____: # _____ series, Flick!

Very challenging. Well done.

5 for the inclusion of the Curious Incident. Though I am kinda disappointed the Cricket In Times Square wasn't here.

I'll admit I tried Smaug for Gorillas in the Mist. Yes I realize it would be spelled "Smog", but I had to try it.

I think the talking cricket from Pinocchio is named Jiminy Cricket. I like the quiz

Aslan appears in other books in The Chronicles of Narnia, so maybe it should be listed as a series, as is Harry Potter for example? And fun quiz!

Did anyone else see Wellington and immediately think of the Wombles?
May 14th, 2013 at 02:44 GMT
@Chenchilla, in the Disney movie you're right, but in the original novel of Pinocchio, the cricket has no name (and also gets killed pretty darn fast).
May 14th, 2013 at 05:30 GMT
yeah thanks a lot chocolatl, LOL i was actually thinking of Cricket in Times Square for that one... and I can't believe I missed the Winnie the Pooh one!! I think its time for bed LOL

When I saw "Chanticleer", I searched for Rock-a-Doodle. Kinda sad it wasn't there. Anyone here know the movie? It's one of the classic greats that no one today seems to know...
May 17th, 2013 at 18:57 GMT
Yes - Rock-a-Doodle was my first thought too! What a great movie :) I didn't do too hot, but I'm proud of myself for getting Boxer... haven't read Animal Farm in years.
