You should specify that you are including only gold medals won in the Summer Olympic Games.

It is covered in the game's name, but I've added it to the game notes. Thanx Burtdoggy.

@benmarshall and what's even more interesting is that one of the medals was for 'Rugby union' (the other two were for swimming)

Need to accept USSR, and considering the majority of the Russian/Soviet population is in Europe, it's more than a little strange to classify those two as Asian.

Also, it needs to be listed somewhere other than the source that this is only Summer Olympics, either in the title question or the note.

Hungary?? Really? And why is USSR a bonus answer for Europe, but a normal answer for Asia? Also, almost every Russian athlete is from the European part of Russia, so it would be more logical to classify Russia as European in this context..

I will be signing autographs of my latest book (How to write an iffy quiz and gradually make it worse) outside your local bookshop this weekend. It'll be easy to spot me, as I'll be the person blushing and cringing (~_^). Fixed I think

I think it's a good quiz, but you need to make a note in the instructions that not all of these are standard sporcle countries, and that not all are extant countries. Also, there's the oddity that the Soviet Union appears in Europe and Asia but Russia only appears in Asia. You need to put it in both really.

Oh, and same for Unified Team, which spans Europe and Asia.

Thanx joebobs. Russia (and the unified team) appears only in one column, beacause they have won less than the 159 gold medals they would need to qualify for the European column.

I'm surprised Indonesia hasn't won enough badminton medals to make the list.

Oops. I used up all my time trying to think of all the little islands which could be the third country under the Oceania category.

good quiz. I think ethipoia have won all their gold (and other) medals in track running, middle and long distance and must hold the record for a single sport.
