The Northern Territory is a TERRITORY. Calling it one of Australia's states would be like calling Puerto Rico a US state.

Interesting, this taught me the difference between the Australian states and territories. I didn't read the question correctly and was cursing you as I was sure you'd spelt "territory" incorrectly! Good quiz.

Perhaps it should be "five edged" flag, not "five sided". Most flags I know of have two sides. It's just my two cents on a little point of potential confusion.

@ Clambuckets, there is only one flag in the world that is not square or rectangular shapped, I guess Side is easy enough..

I was *sure* Northern Territory was an Australian state. Then at the last second I thought of Tasmania. Come to think of it, why isn't Northern Territory a state??

I guess it's too late to made edits, but would anyone be opposed to accepting "kyuushuu" in addition to "kyushu"? Same for the other Japanese islands. Depending on which standard of romaji you're using, both are acceptable, and since I can't make the macron on my keyboard I kept trying kyuushuu all confused-like as to why it wasn't working. Thanks!

@Dimitri & Pogues: The definition of what is Central America varies according to whom one consults. I was certainly taught that Mexico was in Central America and this is the definition of the UN Geoscheme. The EU excludes both Mexico and Belize, and most sources show the Southern Mexican border as the Northern extent of CA. Mexico is culturally in Central America, if not physically.
