I hate it so much when I spell something wrong 'pippy' rather than 'pippi' and then just think I'm wrong and forget about it and then see in the answers that I just had it spelled wrong.
Oct 20th, 2010 at 14:31 GMT
@mailman I thought I had gotten most of the variants, but I'll add that in.
Oct 20th, 2010 at 17:01 GMT
Great quiz, but I'd accept Pippi without the last name as well.
Oct 20th, 2010 at 17:49 GMT
Sort of seconding the above, it would be nice if there were consistency in accepting first names only or requiring the full name.
Oct 21st, 2010 at 14:26 GMT
#6 is spelled wrong. Hart, not Heart.
Dec 6th, 2010 at 01:38 GMT
I agree with sporclover. You need to either accept only first names or only full names. It's far too inconsistent without this feature.

In this quiz, Lara Croft of Tomb Raider looks eerily similar to Katniss Everdeen of Hunger Games.

Wow, just wow. I saw Row 4 Photo 2 just this week and couldn't ID it. And Ahhnold looks like a chick... sort of. Okay, I missed the huge trapezii... and the adam's apple. Okay, I just screwed up. Great clues.

Love the diverse choices of films, not your run-of-the-mill Batman, Spiderman...however, I'd like to know which movie goes with which character

Chikka2: In order (L-R, top-bottom): Grease, The 5th Element, X-Men (not sure which one), The Sound of Music, Napoleon Dynamite, Chicago, Sweeney Todd, Pippi Longstocking, Back to the Future, Harry Potter (the first?), Dracula (?), Breakfast at Tiffany's, Battlefield Earth, The Breakfast Club (?), Dr Strangelove, Tomb Raider, Ghostbusters, When Harry Met Sally, Conan the Barbarian, The Little Mermaid, Zoolander, The Phantom Menace, Joe Dirt, ?, Pirates of the Caribbean

@EuprasieF: Filling in the blanks (or rather, question marks) -- Sorcerer's Stone, Bram Stoker's Dracula (Gary Oldman), Pretty in Pink, and 10 (Bo Derek). I believe the X-Men is the second movie (X-Men United) in the scene at Bobby's house.

Is it "Jacobim" or "Jacobi"?

Nice inclusion of Battlefield Earth...I actually made it through 20 minutes of that movie...
Nov 14th, 2012 at 12:33 GMT
@EuphrasieF: row 3 col 4 is Pretty in Pink, not Breakfast Club. I didn't get row 5 col 4, but apparently it's Bo Derek in the movie 10 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078721/)
Nov 14th, 2012 at 13:26 GMT
Got them all except the Battlefield Earth one (thanks, EuphrasieF, for identifying that one). I actually saw that movie, but I guess I've repressed all memories about the movie. If I start having terrifying flashbacks, I'm blaming this quiz.

Interesting that the an Academy Award for Best Picture winner is the least guessed.

Column 1, Row 2 threw me off because I thought it was in black and white and was trying to figure out who that was and what film from the 30s-40s would be on here.
Nov 14th, 2012 at 15:54 GMT
Argghh! Row 2, column 1 answers i tried: Rosemary's Baby, The Great Gatsby, Bonnie and Clyde . . . oh yeah, and Mia Farrow didn't work either (imagine that).

I have no idea who Jenny Hanley is, I didn't type in her name, but I still got the point! Did anybody else have that happen?! Maybe there's another name that they accept?
Comment below threshold:

looks like it accepts "10" but not "Bo Derek"
Nov 14th, 2012 at 22:07 GMT
If we could put actor's names in I would have had a much better score.
Nov 15th, 2012 at 03:23 GMT
could you accept Roxy? or Heart?
Nov 18th, 2012 at 13:32 GMT
"Oh, it's not Sweeny Todd." Quiz ends. /facepalm, misspelling strikes again.
Dec 29th, 2012 at 18:09 GMT
I'm probably mistaken but I think it's actually Corde' (Queen Amidala's decoy) in that picture. Just saying.
Feb 13th, 2013 at 02:17 GMT
Any one of Molly Ringwald's character's names should be accepted.
May 12th, 2013 at 05:54 GMT
Any reason that 'Dirt' is not accepted? A number of other last names seemed to work. I figured I just had the wrong character/movie and didn't bother typing the full name, which was probably stupid on my part.
