Cool quiz idea. It might be better if you didn't always accept first names, particularly for names that appear twice, like Mary and John.

@ndkchk I don't always accept first names, I only do that for characters that are referred primarily by their first name with a little-known last name. Mary only works for Cameron Diaz and John only works for The Breakfast Club one. There aren't any repeats.

I like the idea but it needs better editing and organizing. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for example to which answers accept first names only and which require both names. You should probably accept actor names as well for some of them as, for example, I don't know if anyone knows the name of the Judd Nelson character in Breakfast Club without looking it up, or Glenn Close's character in Fatal Attraction. In addition I don't think the inclusion of the Helena Bonham Carter pic is a good one since she essentially has the same hairstyle in every movie she does.

Awesome quiz! The hairstyles reminded me of leafing through the pages of my 1987 high school yearbook.

Don't forget you can enter the name of the movie, too, if you can't remember the character's name. It helps to read the title and the instructions.

First names work for some, not others. Shouldn't Mary answer Mary Poppins. It would be nice to have the movie in the answers as well.

Great quiz - thank you for accepting the character's name or movie title. Would love to see another one of these. "Murdock... I'm coming to get you!" Rambo is not in enough quizzes.

Another movie quiz, another Fight Club answer, another Eternal Sunshine... answer, another Lord of the Rings answer, another Pulp Fiction answer, another Star Wars answer. I just type the names of these films in as a matter of course now, is it too much to ask for a bit of originality?

It's a common misconception but that's not actually the Bride of Frankenstein pictured. Frankenstein was the scientist not the monster, and in "Bride of Frankenstein" he gets married. The character displayed is technically "The Monster's bride". (Of course, you should still accept "Bride of Frankenstein" as an alternate).

the only reason i got "mary" right was because i knew "mary poppins." clearly i don't mind having gotten credit for it, but generally speaking, it might skew quiz results to have an answer within another one. (hopefully i'm making sense; i don't feel like i am. :/)
