Agreed, good idea. A couple of problems though! You dont have any alternate answers here, like just surnames or "Mick Foley" for Mankind. And Im pretty sure Hogan only had 6 reigns, Undertaker only had 4, and there's some controversy over Backlund but he's usually considered to have had 2. Very good one though, its great to see so many new WWE quizzes being made today.

I am grateful for the opportunity (pointless though it may be) to type "King Kong Bundy" into Sporcle.

This quiz is terribly unclear. Specifically, it is wrestler who held the WWE Championship the most times. From the title though, it could mean who held different championships in WWE, or a number of such permutations.

Alk, the question at the top says who held "The WWE Championship" the most times.

Enjoyed the quiz! For a minute it was tempting to be more difficult than I thought it would be.

Good quiz, and I managed to get them all. Had about 20 seconds left though.

alkeiper: That's why one championship is called the WWE Championship and the other is called the World Heavyweight Championship.

I could see how someone could be confused, but it still wouldn't really change teh outcome of the wrestlers though. I can't believe Randy Orton has more title reigns than the Undertaker...blah!!

Technically Bob Backlund held the title three different times. He lost the title in Japan in 79, won it back, and then won it 94. Just saying.

@bean. WWE isn't a sport, its a show. It's acting, stunts and entertainment.

How the hell is Ric Flair not on this? half of his gimmick was the fact that he held it 13 times!
chux

It was 16 times, and that was the number of times he'd been a world champion and not specifically WWE champion. He only held the WWE belt twice, the rest were NWA and WCW belts.

@qetuopiyrw: Jeff Hardy is only a one-time WWE champ. And @Raipier: Undertaker is a 7 time world champ (combining the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship reigns) and Orton is only a 6 time world champ. Also Undertaker is the Current World Champ and Orton is without a title. Just tryin to cheer you up.

I'm pretty sure the majority of Orton's titles have come in the past year. Hard to believe HHH has only been champ 8 times.

@hulko: As has just been said, Hardy is only a one-time WWE champion and Flair is two-time. This is for most WWE titles, not anyone who has held one.

Maybe a stupid question, but how come it is only the guys of the last generations? How about the time of the ultimate warrior or Andre the Giant?

@smike: The title changes hands a lot more today than before. The title changed hands 9 times in 2009, whereas in the late 80s through about 1998, the title changed hands a few times a year.
