| Kiribati definitely crosses the Equator. Some Oceanic countries' borders meet at the Equator, so they could be bonus answers (Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea). Other countries border the Tropic of Capricorn (Tonga, Fiji, "France" via New Caledonia), whereas other "countries" cross it (France - French Polynesia, UK - Pitcairn Islands, New Zealand - Cook Islands and Niue). Also, did you mean that these significant lines must travel through an actual piece of land, or just the territorial claims of the country? Nice quiz...made me think. |
