	I would add an entry--from December 28, 1845, until September 20, 1850, Texas' total area was 389,166 sq mi. As part of the Compromise of 1850, Texas assigned its $10M public debt to the federal government and in exchange gave up its claim to about 120,000 sq. mi. that currently fall in the states of Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming.

	@Extinctanimals22: I'm wondering if birdbrain464's comment above might be "on the mark". It seems that the quiz would even be more fun, and test the "history" aspect of the quiz better, if it were in forced order. And then, an increase in time to maybe 4 minutes (which you could thereafter monitor, and adjust). Also separate your game notes so that it is clear that the part about "Total Area" applies to all of them (and maybe say something to the effect of "Total area includes water". What do you think? -napb (History editor)

	^ Ok, looks better. It's always smart to follow sound advice from birdbrains and tiny cats sitting on giant keyboard buttons (see my icon) :) As to your question, I'm not sure I'd advise you to overtly "put an editor on the spot" like that in your quiz comments. Instead, I suggest you let the situation unfold. Think of how an editor (or anybody) would feel having to either answer that publicly (if the decision had not been made yet), or refraining from answering it (which could look like you are being ignored). If the answer is "yes" you'll certainly find out. If the answer is "no" how would the editor feel having to *tell* you that?

	@napb I've been needing to apologize to you as well. (It's been along week with very little time on Sporcle.) The goal of my question was curiosity. I found it odd that you mentioned in your first comment that you were history editor and it sparked my curiosity. (In retrospect the goal of saying that probably was to bring more weight to birdbrain comment.) I am sorry and did not mean to disrespect you on this quiz.

	Until 1792, Kentucky was part of Virginia. That might be interesting to include as part your bonus answer note about West Virginia and you could do the same thing for Virginia that you did for Texas. It wouldn't change the answers at all. Or maybe it would, because if you include Virginia's claim on Kentucky, you might have include the claims of several states on all land between the Appalachians and the Pacific. But, I'm pretty sure that Virginia's claim on Kentucky and Massachusetts' on Maine were the only claims not disputed by the other states, so you probably could include it without changing the answers.
