West Germany never left; East Germany joined it. Malaya didn't leave, just changed its name after the additions of Singapore, Sarawak and Sabah. Also, a source would be good.

Surely you need to accept "Republic of China" for Taiwan. "Taiwan" has never been a UN member. When the ROC was a member, it was there as the legitimate government of all of China, not as the government of just Taiwan. Almost certainly ROC should also be the display name, as well - Taiwan has never been a UN member.
