@EvanWill: Does your fiancee know you're getting cold feet?

I just had to add the link to the marriage proposal Word Ladder we did last Spring. I'll have to follow up and see how it went.

The answer to the last clue is not a unit of measurement. It is the plural form of a unit of measurement.
Jan 29th, 2012 at 11:21 GMT
The clue is plural (at least it is now...) so FEET works.

@mselby: That's actually one of my favorite puzzles I've ever done on this site. I'll save you the trouble - she said yes.

"A fermented beverage made of water and honey, malt, and yeast" is braggot. The clue should be "A fermented beverage made of water and honey, and yeast"

Only missed the last one, because I ran out of time. I actually had the first three clues correct, and then nothing after that. So I went from the bottom up. And I'm glad your fiance said "yes" Dmags22.

@gotcha: Let's say you got the ingredients right; in that case, it should be, "A fermented beverage made of water, honey and yeast.". Mind you, the quiz maker is probably American, and Americans have the funny inclination to add a comma after the second member in a series of three.
