Truly a phenomenal run by Lynch, but also a great team play -- the entire Seahawks team, including QB Hasselbeck, were throwing blocks downfield.
BTW, not to be a contrarian, but another of the best postseason plays (and almost certainly the most underappreciated) of the last decade or so was by Mike Jones of the Rams tackling Kevin Dyson one yard shy of the end zone on the final play of the '00 Super Bowl. That was textbook football at its finest: read the play, square up, wrap him up, follow him to the turf. If Jones makes the tiniest technical mistake *anywhere*, that game goes into overtime. (Plus, the commercial by Don Cheadle the following year was absolute genius.) |
