Fantastic quiz. Nominated.
Oct 3rd, 2010 at 16:33 GMT
Great quiz, and one that I made an Editor's Choice, but I'm actually temporarily rescinding the nomination- PLEASE accept more alternate answers. "Cookie" should be enough for Cookie Kwan; "Goofball" should be enough for Capital City Goofball; you have "Krustofki" spelled wrong for the rabbi, and "Rabbi Krustofski" should be enough; "Lyle" should be enough for Lyle Lanley... I'm sure there are others. Still, this is stellar, and once these issues are addressed, it's an immediate Ed.'s Pick again.

A couple of others: "Lurleen" for Lurleen Lumpkin, "Terri and Sherri", and perhaps (though it's much more of a judgment call) "Grimey" for Frank Grimes. Still, enough has been changed that I'm confident making it a Pick. It's a really stellar effort- tough game (I couldn't even get half, though I also missed a whooole bunch that I am mad at myself for missing), but definitely fun, and deserving of 5 globes.

Please accept 'Guy who says yes'. Good quiz.
Oct 3rd, 2010 at 22:21 GMT
Good quiz - a character quiz that's actually challenging. Some of the answers still require first and last names, more consistency would be great. I typed in "Larry" for Larry Burns and got another guy named Larry, but not the one I intended.

Awesome! Kudos for including ACTUAL obscure characters.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 01:43 GMT
please accept "smilin' joe fission" for "joe fission"
Oct 4th, 2010 at 05:11 GMT
you need to accept last names for ALL of them.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 06:12 GMT
Yes, sir. Very casual, Mr. Scorpion. I will notice that, sir.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 13:04 GMT
The Squeaky Voiced Teen has been referred to as "Jeremy" at least once, so that should be an accepted answer. And yes, there are a lot of answers that you can't get unless you enter the first and last names...and you shouldn't need to know that Allison's last name is Taylor.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 14:57 GMT
I knew most of these people, but mainly just their relations to other characters, not their actual names! I tried 'yes man' and 'yes guy' but neither worked. You should also accept 'miss' hoover. I didn't realise Lyle Lanley even had a name... I just thought he was the monorail guy! I love the obscurity though. And kudos for including my fave character ever, Hank Scorpio =)

Inclusion on a Sporcle quiz? Things are finally looking up for ol' Gil!
Oct 4th, 2010 at 17:13 GMT
I was dearly hoping you'd accept "Pepsi" for F12.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 18:29 GMT
I think this is a great quiz. I don't however, think that characters that dont have names should be included here for two reasons. First, it is too difficult to come up with the matching description. Second, the descriptions may not be canon, with no source listed.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 19:54 GMT
Kinda surprised that J. Loren Pryor is so low on the list, considering he's in the very first episode.
Oct 4th, 2010 at 21:06 GMT
I can see only a sliver of column 11 and nothing of column 12. Is there a trick to seeing the entire columns?
Oct 4th, 2010 at 21:09 GMT
You should accept "Judge Snyder" and "Mr. Largo."
Oct 4th, 2010 at 22:40 GMT
Brilliant quiz. If you want to be lenient, you could accept "Sideshow Cecil".

The sad thing is I can identify almost all of the characters in that I know who they are, but just can't remember all the names.
Oct 6th, 2010 at 01:09 GMT
awesome quiz. much more than the regular characters quiz that's been floating around here forever, this one makes me want to watch all those old seasons again because they bring to mind a specific episode. i would vote this higher than 5 if i could.
Oct 6th, 2010 at 04:53 GMT
It's funny how some of these characters used to be fairly repeating, but than haven't been in an episode for YEARS.
Oct 7th, 2010 at 02:28 GMT
Love how unibrow baby was accepted
Oct 7th, 2010 at 05:39 GMT
Wow, this quiz is damn near impossible. Still great though, but mostly I can remember the episodes/what they said more than their names

Drederick Taytum is misspelled, otherwise a great quiz! Can't believe I forgot Jebediah Springfield. Leopold's name just wouldn't come to me. Tried Leo, Leon, Leonard, Leroy, it was on the tip of my tongue! I have to remember he has the same name as Butters. Maybe you could accept Princess Kashimir and accept Stonecutter leader/Stonecutter head for number 1.
Oct 8th, 2010 at 11:38 GMT
I got them all apart from D2. I ain't saying nothin' about him.
Oct 8th, 2010 at 17:19 GMT
@vec: "I love you, Pepsi."
Oct 9th, 2010 at 01:05 GMT
H2 is Jimmy, not Billy
Oct 9th, 2010 at 02:06 GMT
And if you don't believe me, you must be a Grade-A moron! But seriously, in the vegetarian school film Troy McClure calls him Bobby, then he corrects him by saying "Jimmy". Where you got "Billy" from I have no idea.
Oct 9th, 2010 at 09:29 GMT
@santinit:Jimmy (voiced by Nancy Cartwright) is Troy McClure's assistant who appeared in "Lisa the Vegetarian". He appeared in the Troy McClure educational film "Meat and you - Partners in Freedom" and visited a meat packing plant. A similar boy, BILLY, appeared in two later Troy McClure films. ;) http://simpsons.wikia.com/wiki/Jimmy_%28actor%29
Oct 9th, 2010 at 21:14 GMT
Yes but Billy has blue hair an no bow tie. The picture in H2 has beige hair and a bow tie. Jimmy is the only correct answer here, sorry dudes.
Oct 9th, 2010 at 22:37 GMT
You're absolutely right! Sorry I doubted you, I've seen the videos on youtube and it's true what you said, fix it immediately, thanks:)
Oct 10th, 2010 at 05:34 GMT
I love the quiz but there are some aggravating disparities between first and last names being accepted. a few i can remember now were that it didnt accept "Brad" for brad goodman, nor "jimbo" for jimbo jones.

Oct 17th, 2010 at 02:46 GMT
Thoroughly enjoyed the quiz, but I think you should've broken it up into two separate quizzes. I just think there are too many answers to be as much fun as it could be.
Oct 24th, 2010 at 06:00 GMT
I'm rating this low because of the inclusion of characters without names. Blue haired lawyer? People shouldn't have to read to scripts to answer this quiz.
Oct 30th, 2010 at 11:06 GMT
Can you please accept "Poochy", "Arty Ziff" and "Number 1" for shortening reasons?
Nov 2nd, 2010 at 19:01 GMT
great quiz, but where is Jub-Jub?
Jan 15th, 2011 at 23:21 GMT
Columns 11 and 12 are completely cut off on my monitor.
