It's not clear what your criteria for being a "major" river is. For instance you count Vaduz, on the Rhine, as not being on a major navigable river but Bern, on a tributary of the Rhine, is? Also, not counting Beijing because it has access via Tianjin is pretty silly - they're 60 miles apart. There are plenty of capitals on this list that are less than 60 miles from the ocean.

In Vaduz, the Rhine is not yet a major river. At that point it isn't navigable by ships or boats yet. The Aar River in Bern, on the other hand, can be navigated by boats, at least until it reaches Lake Biel.

is Sucre a bonus answer because La Paz is a real answer? I typed Sucre, and got the bonus with no explanation so i guessed La Paz. This is a clever Idea for a quiz. I spent ages thinking "There's no major river in Dublin" forgetting that Dublin used to be a port. I feel ashamed... Also i have spent my whole life thinking Beijing was on the coast.

Yes, Sucre is a bonus because La Paz is the real answer. La Paz is the one that is listed on the Capitals of the World quiz so that's what I went with.
