	Not being that familiar with the long forms, I expected more along the lines of Greece. To say most of these are different seemed kind of a stretch, but the compilation was really interesting.

	Why not include Russian Federation? Is it because the word "Russia" appears in the word "Russian"? If so, I still think it should at least be a bonus.

	I think 8 minutes is too long - I had enough time to name every country in Europe and Asia. A lot of Sporclers can do all the countries in the world in about 9 minutes.

	snorkle, yes the Russian Federation is not included because Russia appears in the name. I don't want to add it as a bonus because there are many more countries with a similar situation and adding them all would dilute the quiz. CoolBeans, many countries (including the US) don't recognize the name Myanmar because it was proposed by the military regime there. debbiedoesnothin, thanks, the time has been shortened.

	Interestingly, of the two countries whose full names start with the letter "H" (Hellenic Republic and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), neither one's short name does. Likewise, the only country starting with "E" is the Eastern Republic of Uruguay. However, if it weren't for Portugal, the letter "P" would take the cake, seven of the eight countries' full names beginning with it belonging to countries whose short names begin with other letters. 	It saddens me that Kyrgyzstan is the least guessed answer on a Sporcle geography quiz. Also, that my spellcheck still doesn't accept Sporcle. I think it's popular enough by now for spellcheck to accept its existence as a word.

	I don't understand why Somalia is only a bonus. It seems to me that it's exactly the same situation as most of the countries on this quiz--the adjective used in the long form doesn't contain the short form.

	Isn't Russia's long name the Russian Federation...I mean technically the Russia is in Russian, but Russia doesn't stand by itself. Maybe a bonus? Also, this month's National Geographic has a great write-up on the situation in Myanmar. Craziness.

	It was interesting and seemed rather original, but did anyone else find it turn into basically a guessing game? I couldn't find much of a strategy to it

	People's Republic of China should be a bonus answer since it's official name is "Zhonghua" which is translated as "Middle Kingdom". Nowhere in their official name do they refer to themselves as China, Chin, or any other ethnic group from where our name derives.
