	This data is very flawed, if we are measuring "most generous countries". For example, the vast majority of assistance given by the United States is not "official development assistance" from the government (which is what this quiz's numbers are based on), but is given privately by U.S. citizens in the form of "philanthropy" and other "remittances". Given than, the United States' donor aid per capita is $530, ranking 8th in the world (Luxemborg is still number 1 at $1111). 	agreed, but we kinda know these sources are "suspect" to begin with? I would shave at least a full minute off the time. It was entertaining enough despite the source.

	wow iceland, ranking so far behind the other nordic countries-but i guess charity takes a back seat when your whole banking system has collapsed

	Unless I completely missed it the aneki.com link doesn't even mention where the data came from or even how they define generosity. It doesn't even rise to the level of "suspect" because I don't even know what they are looking at. The Hudson Institute data is at least sourced and there's an explanation of how generosity is defined. Someone should make a quiz based on that data.

	When using that kind of numbers, you use those donated by the state. Numbers from other organisations like Red Cross can never be too accurate. In most countries there are small communities in churches and villages and sport clubs and such that donate money to disaster victims, so the only reliable numbers are the official ones.

	BoomRShine: I don't think it would make sense to include remittances (i.e. foreign workers sending some of their wages back to their families) any more than it would make sense to include emigrants taking money out of the country, or foreign business investments. The Hudson Institute seems to be some kind of pro-free market pressure group, so its data (apparently compiled from many different sources) should maybe be taken with a pinch of salt.

	@James: That's sort of the point. The Hudson Institute discloses its sources of information so you can have an informed opinion about what the data means and where it came from. The aneki.com data, not so much. I alos don't see how remittances can be looked at as anything other than generosity and I don't really see how it can be conflated with foreign business investments.
