Considering his fondness for booze, you can safely say he was juiced most of his career.

Yeah I though Beltre would be on here to but I guess he only hit 58 homeruns. Pretty much must of these people did steroids so it's not a great list to be on.

I think you should provide the year for all of these.

Surprised Jesse Barfield wasn't on here. Must've been close.

@sinatra22: Bautista has scary power and swings entirely from his heels. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he hit 40 this year but had a miserable average to with it.

Barfield went from 40 to 28, not really that close. Plus he wasn't close to 50 HRs as the quiz mandates.

Beltre only had 48 homers in 04. Brady Anderson what a joke

@king21: I would be surprised if he hits 40 homers this season. Pitchers will adjust to him. 53 of Bautista's 54 homers went to left field and left-center field. He made an adjustment with his hitting coach during the 2009 season to shorten his swing, so that he pulled every inside fastball and crusehd it. I would be shocked if he gets a lot of inside fastballs this season. I don't think he has the power and the mechanics to hit a bunch of homers to the opposite field and straighaway center, and that's the only way he can get to 40, IMHO.

Good quiz - Brady Anderson was the first guy I thought of. Going 50 to 18 is totally embarrassing.

I feel bad for Bautista, because it's not always steroids. Davey Johnson went from 43 in '73 to 15 in '74.
