This list is simply wrong... at the very least, where is King of the Hill? (13 seasons) Look at this list... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_longest_running_United_States_television_series

It's not US tv shows, otherwise Case Closed and Dragon Ball would be removed. And I do know it's not perfect yet.

@Chocolatl: Wikipedia is an extremely reliable source. Anyone can edit it - so you know you're getting the best information.

jacobf-- Wikipedia is a completely unreliable source. Anyone can edit it, so you know you're getting all kinds of misinformation. Studies have shown that close to 30% of the information on Wikipedia is incorrect. The Sporcle guidelines state unequivocably that Wikipedia is NOT considered reliable.

SVU and Criminal Intent have not been on the air for the same amount of seasons. I'm not sure of the numbers, but SVU has been on at least one more season.

I checked, Criminal Intent has 8 seasons. So looks like I made a mistake. Thank you.

Dallas ran for 14 seasons, not 13. Lassie only ran 17 seasons, not 19. There is no apostrophe in Knots Landing, Sesame Street is misspelled,... Sporcle already did a quiz similar to this, and far superior to this one.

I checked, Dallas did run for 14 seasons. Lassie however ran for 19 seasons. Thank you for the spelling mistakes. I checked, there isn't another quiz like this.

Detective Conan should be accepted for "Case Closed" as that is much closer to the Japanese title.

If you're taking game shows and kid shows, then why not news shows? And since we're on kids shows, what about Captain Kangaroo or Mr. Rogers or Reading Rainbow or (shudder) Barney and Friends? And would it kill you to accept Dr for Doctor Who?

If we're going by seasons alone, the tv show 'Arthur' just entered its 15th season, and the Canadian show "The Beachcombers" should be up there with 19 seasons. Those 2 automatically came to mind, but there are many more missed. Keep adding please...
