No, 3 minutes is plenty of time. 2 would be doable as well, I think.

I did it with 1:59 left to spare - so maybe 2 and half minutes would be better.

The part of Kazakhstan west of the Ural River and Mountains is considered European. But, for the sake of consistency with other Sporcle quizzes, Kazakhstan should not be included in this quiz.

agree with troublemaker, judging by the overall success rate of people taking this quiz maybe shorten it to 2 minutes just to make it a bit more challenging.

Koopa08, what the hell are you talking about? Cyprus is in Europe and Kosovo is a country. It has been since 2008. Do some damn research before you comment.

Turkey and Kazakhstan both have a small amount of territory in Europe and the majority of it in Asia, so to be consistent I'd say you should include both or neither - I don't see why one should be on but not the other.

@ChileNoseJam, I based my answers off the previous Sporcle quizzes, specifically Can You Name All the European Countries quiz. You are exactly right though.

One minute would be possible, but I think 2 minutes is the right length if time.

@Duggyfresh: Bosnia and Herzegovina declared sovereignty in 1991 and declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1992. The ensuing war ended in 1995. 1992 is the acknowledged date of when it became a country and attained diplomatic recognition. There was a kingdom of Bosnia in the 14th century before it became part of the Ottoman Empire.

I hate the clock. I got 11 right, but I would have gotten more with some time to think. I wish there was an option to turn the clock off if you don't want to compete with anyone but yourself.

zeppo has a good point and I wish there was a forum better than this to discuss it. I want there to be an option to turn the clock off and not have the ensuing result appear in the statistics. Because that would be fun, which should be the entire point of this site.

Let me go on. Once the clock hits zero your score is logged and the stats posted, but you can go on and keep entering answers that aren't scored, just to see if you can get them. So if the clock runs out when you have two more countries to guess, you can still keep playing without it messing up the stats.

@Lovenkrands, there IS a forum for this. Sporcle University is where you want to go. You can find the link on your Create Game tab.

I agree about an option to turn off the timer. It shouldn't be about how fast you can type, this discriminates against people with disabilities.
