Rhinoceros, roadrunner, reindeer, raven, rabbit, raccoon, rat, robin, ray, etc. would be good. Possibly rooster and rottweiler if you're aiming to make this game more kid friendly, rather than scientific. Rattlesnake might be okay--most people have heard of it, even though it's a fairly specific form of snake.
I would say the more kid friendly you want it, the less you should use specific names like "red ____". |
