I love the quiz. 5 stars, but I would think UCLA goes under "C".

@vernbowsky Thanks! Yeah, you're right; however, the vast majority of people will type in 'UCLA' rather than California Los Angeles. I do accept both variants but I think the more common one should tell what letter it is.

A good point, since most of these other schools are "University of....". But there are only a small unmber of schools known by their initials, so being under U is fine. Are there any schools that actually start with a U? Ursinus is all that comes to mind right now.

When it comes to alphabet quizzes like this, Xavier is to basketball as Qatar is to geography

UCLA is under U, but UCONN is under C and UNC is under N, HMMM that seems to make no sense. they are all university of, therefore UCLA should be under C, or almost every university should be under U.

@joeltime: Again, UCLA is the most common official name. ESPN, Sports Illustrated, and almost any other sports organization will almost always display UCLA as 'UCLA.' UNC and UCONN are usually used on scoreboards as abbreviations as opposed to the common name.

I generally use SI's "NCAAB Teams" list when deciding which form of the university to accept.
