"Nevermore" in the title should be lowercase and in quotations.

damnit. I guessed "Forevermore", completely sure it was in the poem, typing it in on at least three separate occasions. and what pops up as an answer? 'evermore'. Grrr.

D'oh. Very unhappy that I missed one, but it's only used once. I love Poe. His essay on how he allegedly came up with The Raven is pretty interesting from a literature nerd standpoint.

Do you think Poe went through the same thought process as Sporclers who don't know the poem - "Hmm, what else rhymes? Chore? Spore? Ooh, adore!"?

I know Poe used it as a rhyme in the poem, but "o'er" is not an actual rhyme of any of the words listed here. It is a slant rhyme at best. For it to be a rhyme, "o'er" would have be pronounced like "ore."

I couldn't get The End of the Raven, by Poe's cat, as discovered by Henry Beard in Poetry for Cats, out of my mind. One night as the rain was slanting I awakened to the ranting of the man I catch mice for...

I love this poem, and at one point in my life had it pretty much memorized. Not so much anymore, I kicked myself for missing a few of those, especially evermore. Poe did write some great stuff, might have to pick up my book of his complete works again.

once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary / on Sporcle quizzes unto which my brain I did outpour / I came across a quiz on rhyming, all the while the timer timing / as I racked my brain as to achieve the highest score / and when the answers were revealed, myself I did abhor / as for the quiz, I'll rate it 4.

Oof, that was difficult. I need to read the directions more carefully- definitely kept typing in "nevermore."

Thanks to The Simpsons and the Alan Parsons Project song "The Raven," I did well on this. I typed in "before" and "shore," however, and for some reason it did not accept them. :(

I thought to myself "no way is 'store' in there", but I was stumped, so I typed it in on a lark.
