Enter a city in the box below
Correctly named citys will show up below
Answers do not have to be guessed in order
The city might share its name exactly -- e.g. Ethelred, but can also have a longer name -- e.g. Ethelred City. I use English and British interchangeably. None predate the Norman conquest.

Great quiz. It challenges us to remember three things --- the names of British monarchs, the possible variants on those names used as cities, and the actual cities that use those variants. Also the history involved with remembering the few that are actually named directly for a monarch, like Charleston.

New York as a bonus? It was named for the future James II.

Annapolis is named after Queen Anne, if that meets your criteria. (If not, maybe a bonus?)

Nice suggestion. I'll add Annapolis to the list.
