I was under the impression that Korean-English transliterations based on the McCune-Reischauer romanization system were revised several years ago so that the translations would correspond more closely to Korean. T's became D's (Taegu and Taejeon became Daegu and Daejeon), while P's became B's (Pusan became Busan), K's became G's (Kwangju became Gwanju), and CH's became J's (Cheju became Jeju), and O's became Eo's (Yosu became Yeosu, Inch'on became Incheon); however, the old spellings are still acceptable. |
