| @Dralcoffin: It actually looks like Formosa, Argentina wasn't named after its antipode, or vice versa. Supposedly, it came from the Spanish word 'fermosa' or 'hermosa' meaning "beautiful," referring to the beautiful turn in the Paraguay River directly in front of the city of Formosa.
