| You're going to get a lot of arguments here! Nordic countries is a notoriously thorny issue, since Finland is culturally separate, and Iceland is geographically separate. As for South East Asia, some might not include Philippines there. For Central America, Mexico is a possibility. But Middle East is the real problematic issue. There's that dreadful Wikipedia map which includes all of North Africa and Central Asia. Iran can well be considered Central Asia, but I don't think it's too problematic to include it here. I'm very unsure about including the Caucasus states. Not politically part of the region, and only roughly geographically so. Cyprus and Egypt are also parts of other continents, depending whether you're speaking politically or geographically. The problem is, the other categories are geographical (or linguistic, i.e. -stans), whereas Middle East is political. I'd think about changing it. You could have Western Europe or West African or something instead. |
