in other quizzes other spellings of murfreesboro is accepted since its so obscure. and is charlestown, SC supposed to be charleston?

Charlestown is the original name of Charleston, you are correct, I'll edit that. As for Murfreesboro, what other spellings do you suggest?

New Haven was co-capital of Connecticut with Hartford from 1701 to 1875. (I was taught 1873 in school, but the Internet disagrees.) So you could add that. :)
