A brief explanation about the Largest Non-Capital Cities - they are arranged by population of the primary urban area i.e. excluding the outlying suburbs.

Nice quiz. Maybe accept numbers for the monarchs and surnames for historical figures. Possibly Ouse too (though I don't really know). All in all though 5 stars despite the colours hurting my eyes.

It should accept surnames for the historical figures, I will review that momentarily and amend if necessary. There is a separate river called the Ouse so I'm reluctant to allow it for Great Ouse. I state in the game notes that the monarchs require their Roman numerals, and besides I don't want to make it TOO easy! :D

Agreed, best quiz I've played today. If the monarchs are to require their Roman numerals though, this doesn't seem to apply to typing in 'Elizabeth' at present.

Is Manchester not bigger than some of the other cities mentioned?

I was surprised too, Jason_H. Turns out that although Manchester is a physically bigger city, a lot of its population live in the Greater Manchester area (outlying suburbs) rather than in the city itself. The source I checked gave the populations for the primary urban areas only.

awt6, the list is of teams that have won the European Cup or, as it's now known, the Champions League.

The football team is called "Celtic" and not "Glasgow Celtic". Otherwise, top quiz!

Is Isle of Wight actually a county? I thought, technically, it was Hants & IOW..

Could you do maybe something about the colors. Try to mute it down a bit. But good quiz though.

I've changed the colours to a darker blue background with white text, I had hoped to do red, white and blue but it doesn't really work! IOW is a county in its own right as it has its own county council.

More than half is I think rather decent for a foreigner. I never knew Sussex had been divided into east and west (drove me crazy, as I was almost positive that it was on the channell...) Also some unexpected names on the currency. Would it be very wrong to accept 'clover' for shamrock? (as that's what Americans tend to think of it as, except in the context of st. patrick's day...)

Three leaf clover, if you want to make it more specific...
