Suppose the MLB Hall of Fame was based solely on career WAR, but had the same number of players. Which non-HOF players would make it in and which HOF players would be booted out?
There are currently 205 players in the HOF (excluding primarily Negro League players and individuals elected as non-players). Of the top 205 players in career WAR (offense + defense + pitching) who played no later than 2005, 66 are not in the HOF. Name these 66 non-HOFers and the 66 actual HOFers with the fewest career WAR who would be booted out to make room. Players are listed with the team/franchise on which they played the most games, the first and last years of their MLB career, and their career WAR. Data runs from 1876-2005. 	Note: Clark Griffith is sometimes considered to have been elected to the HOF as a player, but the official HOF website lists him as an executive. As such, he is not considered one of the 205 HOF players here. With a career WAR of 52.8, he wouldn't have been booted out even if he were counted as a player.

	The "Game Notes" field has a character limit of 200, but the "Embed Code" field just below it does not seem to have a limit. There are just some quizzes that you can't explain in 200 characters, so I use that as a work-around.

	I love this quiz because IMO it shows how silly rating players strictly by WAR is...the current system isn't perfect but a straight WAR ranking system would be even more flawed.

	To be clear, I'm not necessarily advocating that HOFers be selected by WAR. I'm just presenting a hypothetical scenario in which this happens.

	Really great quiz. Regarding Koufax, he had the same record as Tim Hudson entering this year and about the same WAR. He had 5 great seasons pitching in the worst park for hitters in the worst era for hitters. WAR is great for context.
