| Thanks for the compliments, folks. I was going to do 1880 also, but the top 10 ranged from 23 down to 4 career HR, so I skipped that year. And yes, it seems odd that Baker didn't make it, given his nickname, but in 1910 he had only 6 HR, and in 1920 he was in 23rd place with 80. He finished with 96 in 1922 and so didn't crack the top 10 in 1930 either. In 2000, Bonds had 494 HR and A-Rod only 189. |
