it should be "runnin' rebels" and "runnin' utes." both schools basketball teams have "runnin'" as the official and popular first name. at the very least this should be accepted, if not the listed answer.

Holy crap, I almost forgot UNLV. I would have felt six inches tall if I'd clicked "give up" and seen them

@nsd987: I've been watching college basketball since I was a baby and never once have I heard Utah referred to as "Runnin' Utes". It's always been just Utes... on TV and in print media, anyway.

Hopefully pretty soon we can add Boise State.

the runnin rebels was just a name that commentators game the team because of the fast break type of offense that they liked to use. This is the same thing as the "Flying Illini" for the U of I teams in the late 80's and early 90's because of their leaping abilities.

Should add Fresno State, Boise State, and Nevada as bonuses. And perhaps whoever might get invited as team 12.

10 team league soon, BYU and Utah moved on and the top of the WAC (Boise State, Nevada, Fresno State) joining. No point in updating yet, though. More changes likely.

Now TCU is going to the Big East. That makes a lot of sense.

@eja82: It makes as much sense as them being in the Mountain West. Fort Worth is about as close as you can get to being right in the middle of the country as far as east-west goes, and there are certainly no mountains there either.

Time to update. Today BYU officially moved to the WCC and independent in football. Utah moved to the Pac-12, and Boise State jumps on board.

Why doesn't it accept "colorado st" or "san diego st"? "Boise st" works, though.
