You should make us put in the roman numerals.

Yes, the answers should also be in Roman numerals. Otherwise there it too much time. Also: LXXXVIII/X is not VIII. There is an I missing at the end.

In one question you ask what IL/VII is. You obviously are trying to say 49/7, but IL is not the correct way to represent 49. It should be XLIX. The rule is to only use the subtractive principle when the subtrahend preceeds a minuend no more than ten times larger. http://www.numericana.com/answer/roman.htm . Also, for the question LXXXVIII/X, the correct answer is 8.8 . The problem with this is that fractions are never done in numerals, but instead in words, which can be very confusing at times.

Thanks for spotting mistakes, @sproutcm, I thought IL looked wrong, but I thought people would probably work out what is was anyway, it's been changed. And yes, it should be LXXXVIII/XI, not just X. Thanks for playing!

Too much time, looking at how many people have gotten all of them. Take at least one minute off, if not two (I finished this with 1:59 left).

C+(V*II) and I +(V*X) don't need brackets-BIDMAS treats them as if they had them anyway (You multiply before you add)

@Demon: That doesn't make them any less useful. It's always nice to be explicit when it adds clarity. Otherwise you get into situations like this: what's 2+2 / 2?

Man, that got my heart beating. Had two left with 13 seconds and no time to translate so I just started trying i, ii, iii, iv, etc. Thank goodness the two I had left were 4 and 7.

Bah, I finished the second to last one with less than a second remaining, and when the time ran out I discovered that the only one left unanswered was I+I+I+I+I+I.

This is a classic Sporcle, brain cruncher. Wonder if we used Roman Numerals 24/7, if this would be second nature to us.

@endsail. The answer is 3. Again, BIDMAS (PEMDAS in the US), says to do the division, then the addition. No ambiguity if you follow the rules of math.

I think that, while answers should be in roman numeral form, the answer should include the actual numbers. being kind of unfamiliar with roman numerals, it could help speed up the learning process. i was in way over my head once three or four different numerals were used.

For the umpteenth time, if you look by the answer field, you don't need to worry about jumping around. (Bonus: put umpteenth in roman numerals)

Edna Krabapple had it right. "Children, pay attention, or you'll never know when movies were made!" Feh to useless Roman numerals; Arabic numbers were borrowed for obvious reasons.
