	nobody says "die see" unless you're a poet or maybe a sailor. and "ödland"? come on, i have never heard anybody say that in my entire life, pick something else. "kontinent" should also be accepted for "erdteil"

	I'll add Kontinent, but it is die Nordsee, and, being a student of German in America, die See is the most commonly heard - at least here. And I think I'm leaving oedland, since it is the only word listed for 'badlands' on LEO. What would you suggest for sea instead, though?

	"Ödland" seems like a typical textbook word - a word you learn in school but never ever need in a conversation with a native speaker. I'd take it out. As for "die See" - it is used here, but mostly in names "Nordsee", "Ostsee" etc. We would either say "Wir fahren an die Nordsee" or "Wir fahren ans Meer", much less likely "Wir fahren an die See". As said, a sailor would be more likely to use it "Wir fahren zur See".

	Thank you, Martin, and I'll take Oedland off. I selected it for the simple reason that badlands were listed on the Spanish geographical terms, and that's where I got the idea (I was insulted that there was no German one). Actually, I'd never heard of Oedland either. And I'll add one or two other options for die See.

	And because the words that were options for sea on LEO happen coincide with the words I selected for ocean, I've made it so that you have to answer in order.
