I can't help but putting huge question marks with source. First of all a lot of countries are missing (Brazil for example). Second of all i can't believe that the well developed countries are all on top of this list (specially when you take population numbers into account). If crime rate in Mexico is practically the same as in the Netherlands (about 50 times smaller and 1/8 of the population) that would mean the bullets would be flying across my window right now...

Agreed with everything hilco says! These numbers say much more about how crimes are classified and reported in different countries than how many crimes are actually taking place. With a better source, this would be a really interesting quiz...

The fact that Canada and Denmark have more criminal activity than Colombia or South Africa, two of the most violent countries in the world in terms of homicide, makes me seriously question the source (which is dead by the way).

Its only dead because people are shooting at it when they are angry at their countries high rates

Like others have said, this list makes no sense. In some cases the results are almost inverse of what I have seen from other sources. It looks like this is more-or-less a list of countries which REPORT crimes at the highest rates.
